Start with a ride through Pirita beach promenade towards Noblessner port where the PROTO invention factory is located, this ride will take you to several panoramic viewpoints. One of the first things you notice on the border of the Old Town is the brick chimney of Kultuurikatel, a former power station, now home to Tallinn’s Creative Hub and some of the coolest parties and fairs in town. Next you will pass Patarei Sea Fortress, part of European architectural heritage, is a Classical defensive structure that has retained its stylistic purity. Before reaching to PROTO you will have a stop at the Seaplane Harbour (Estonian Maritime Museum). Seaplane Hangar was built to become part of Peter the Great’s naval fortress 100 years ago on orders from the Russian emperor Nicholas II. The architecture of the Hangar is remarkable, featuring the world’s first column less thin-shell concrete domes of such volume. From there you will cycle to Noblessner – Tallinn’s first district that is open to the sea and is very likely to please many people who want to live in the city centre by the sea, surrounded by culture venues, good restaurants and entertainment while enjoying peace, quiet and birdsongs.
The tour starts and ends at Pirita tee 20, Tallinn. We bike for about 10 km.
The tour takes place in any weather and with at least 5 participants.
